The COVID-19 global pandemic continues to evolve rapidly and continues to cause much anxiety in our communities, our country, and the world. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by the outbreak.
HemoCue is actively following the advice of the local health authorities (Folkhälsomyndigheten in Sweden), our government as well as recommendations from Danaher.
We have implemented a number of measures so we are able to maintain the manufacturing and delivery of our products to our customers worldwide. The following is a brief overview of key steps related to key operations and measurements taken.
Precautions taken at our sites
We have taken precautions to safeguard our production and other critical functions.
• Re-organization in small, segregated teams that can serve as back-up for each other
• Protocols for hygiene and social distancing implemented
• Enhanced cleaning and preventive hygiene
• Working from home policy for all associates whose jobs allow
Managing challenges in supply chain and logistics
The situation is constantly evolving with border closings and flight cancellations. We are in tight dialogue with our key suppliers and so far, we have been able to maintain supply of key parts and raw materials. With regards to shipping, we are working closely with our freight forwarders on a daily basis to find solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain shipment to all locations, though costs are increasing.
Impact of initiatives from local authorities
Our main manufacturing site is located in Sweden, and authorities in Europe are taking measures like school closing or mandated lockdown. We have organized our workforce so that we can continue to operate under those circumstances.
Our interaction with you will change
Our customers remain our top priority and we remain at your disposal. In the current situation, we will change our work patterns to ensure the safety of both you and our associates. We will continue necessary visits, but keep less critical visits to an absolute minimum. We will not pay a visit without a request or an agreement by you.
