HemoCue^® and TELCOR Partner to Provide End-to-End Data Management Solutions

HemoCue^® announced the availability of full LIS/HIS connectivity for its 201 DM point-of-care testing (POCT) Systems utilizing TELCOR Inc.’s QML^® and Quick-Linc^® interface products. TELCOR is the HemoCue^® preferred connectivity solution vendor. "We chose to partner with TELCOR because they offer truly open vendor interface systems making POCT connectivity simple for our customers," said Don DuBois, General Manager of HemoCue, Inc.

HemoCue introduced 201 DM analyzers with advanced data management capabilities in the US market in January 2005. Available for both glucose and hemoglobin testing, they offer health care providers faster data availability, better quality control, increased regulatory compliance, and improved administration.

HemoCue^® Hemoglobin and Glucose DM systems are based on the same HemoCue^® testing methodology that has been perfected during the last 20 years, while also taking full advantage of today’s computer technology.

The HemoCue^® 201 DM systems follow the new globally approved standard for POCT device communication called POCT1-A, also known as the CIC standard. "HemoCue^® recognizes the value in this, which is why our 201 DM systems are among the first to comply," says Don DuBois.
