Product portfolio with a wide range of clinical applications
You may already be familiar with parts of the HemoCue® product portfolio. Our hemoglobin system was introduced in the early 1980s. Since then, we have developed point-of-care testing systems for glucose, urine albumin, and total white blood cell count. In total, we have placed over 300,000 HemoCue® Analyzers and Photometers in hospitals, private and public primary care, blood centers and aid organizations, all over the world. We are constantly working to develop our portfolio and to meet the needs for laboratory accurate point-of-care testing, for example through diagnostic connectivity.´
The HemoCue® systems are based on reliable microcuvette technology, reagent chemistry and analyte-specific instruments. These systems do not require mixing of reagents, dispensing, or pipetting. The analyzers are factory calibrated and all microcuvettes are produced with no significant batch-to-batch variation. Also, our point-of-care medical devices require little training and maintenance. This makes it possible for staff without extensive laboratory training to perform tests yielding accurate results.
