Hemoglobin Testing
Hemoglobin is used to monitor and manage anemia in dialysis patients. By using the HemoCue® Hemoglobin system, information about the patient’s anemia status can be obtained in more timely manner, and thus medical care can be initiated sooner. Point-of-care testing using the HemoCue® system can also facilitate more appropriate EPO dosages and has been proven to be much more accurate than something like the hematocrit method.
