In 1974, the two inventors of the HemoCue system, Sven-Erik Nilsson and Jan Lilja started work on the cuvette concept. HemoCue AB was founded in Helsingborg, Sweden in 1982. Our systems are based on reliable cuvette technology, reagent chemistry and analyte-specific instruments. These systems do not require mixing of reagents, dispensing, or pipetting. The instruments are factory calibrated and all cuvettes are produced such that no adjustment for batch-to-batch variation is necessary, and requires minimum training and instrument maintenance. This makes it possible for staff without laboratory training to consistently perform tests yielding accurate results. |
